Operator Ranks

For a run to count for promotion requirements, you must service at least a certain number of stations known as eligible runs: 8 stations on all lines.

In charge of Wilson yard operator transfers to the yard and the yard's budget. May request and operate a train from any yard in TTC regardless of yard based at. Must obtain at least two references from members not in senior management and complete an interview. 
Davisville Superintendent85+ operating hours. No openings. Must have at least 105 runs. Only through promotion by management from Lead Operator. In charge of developing policies, managing operators on the server, training new members and dealing with conflicts for Davisville Yard. In charge of Davisville yard, operator transfers to the yard and the yard's budget. May request and operate a train from any yard in TTC regardless of yard based at. Must obtain at least two references from members not in senior management and complete an interview.  
Greenwood Superintendent 85+ operating hours. No openings. Must have at least 105 runs. Only through promotion by management from Lead Operator. In charge of developing policies, managing operators on the server, training new operators and dealing with conflicts for Greenwood Yard. In charge of Greenwood Yard, operator transfers to the yard and the yard's budget. May request and operate a train from any yard in TTC regardless of yard based at. Must obtain at least two references from members not in senior management and complete an interview. 
Lead Operator55+ operating hours. Must have at least 80 runs. No openings. Only through approval by a Transit Controller or a Superintendent. Assist in developing policies, training and managing operators on the server and dealing with operator related conflicts. May request and operate a train from any yard in the TTC regardless of yard based at.   
Class I40+ operating hours. Must have at least 55 runs. May choose any train (H4, H5, H6, T1 and TR) regardless of yard based out of. Must pass a written test on real world TTC signals and operations knowledge.   
Class IIBetween 30 and 40 operating hours. Must have at least 35 runs. May request any train from their yard. Wilson and Davisville operators may request H5, T1 and TR. Greenwood operators H4, T1 and H6.  
Class IIIBetween 20 and 30 operating hours. Must have at least 25 runs. Must operate a train from their yard. May operate a TR if based out of Wilson or Davisville and a H4 if based out of Greenwood if dispatched to them.   
Class IVBetween 10 and 20 operating hours. Must have at least 15 runs. Must operate a train from their yard. YUS runs operators will only be dispatched T1s and H5s and BD runs T1s and H6s. May request transfer of yards.  
In TrainingNew operator 0 to 10 operating hours. Must operate the train given by the dispatcher. Must operate a train from their yard. Has completed training and passed their initial operator test.  
New RecruitA new member of the academy that still has to go through training and/or complete their initial operator test. May not participate in a run until they have the completed training and obtained 7/10 on their initial operator test.

1.0Superintendent Transit ControlIn charge of developing policies and responsible for the smooth operation of runs and everyone in it. Responsible for the training and evaluation of towers. Works with transit controllers, senior towers and yard superintendents to improve run operations through new developments and deal with conflicts. Currently held by the co-founders of the academy.     
1.1Transit ControlIn charge of developing policies, managing run operations, training and evaluating towers and dealing with conflicts. Certified to control 8 control zones. Run test must have at least 10 trains and operate in both directions. Must have at least 60 control runs.    
2.0Class IHelp train and evaluate towers and deal with conflicts. Certified to control 8 control zones. Run test must have at least 9 trains. Run test must start controlling from terminal stations in both directions and dispatch the trains. Able to dispatch trains. Must pass a written test on real world TTC signals and operations knowledge. Must have at least 50 control runs.   
2.9Class I (A)Help train and evaluate towers and deal with conflicts. Certified to control 6 zones. Run test must have at least 8 trains. Run test must start controlling from terminal stations in both directions and dispatch the trains. Able to dispatch trains. Must have at least 40 control runs.  
3.0Class I (B)Help train and evaluate towers and deal with conflicts. Certified to control 4 control zones. Run test must have at least 7 trains. Able to dispatch trains. Run test must start controlling from terminal stations in both directions and dispatch the trains. Must have at least 30 control runs.   
3.9Class II (A)Has the same privileges as Class II but can dispatch. Must pass a Class II tower run test. This can only be obtained if holding a lead operator position. Must have at least 20 control runs. Run test must have at least 6 trains. 
4.0Class IICertified to control 2 control zones. Run test must have at least 6 trains. Must have at least 20 control runs.  
5.0Class II (B)Certified to control 1 control zone using the control page with signals. Must have at least 10 control runs, complete training and pass a verbal test on the signals control screen. Run test must have at least 5 trains.   
5.9Class III (A)Has the same privileges as Class III but has access to the control screen and dispatch. Must pass a Class III tower test without signals then another involving signals AND dispatch. This can only be obtained if holding a lead operator position. Run test must have at least 5 trains. Must have at least 10 control runs.  
6.0Class IIICertified to control 1 control zone using manual control. Must have at least 5 control runs. Run test must have at least 5 trains.  
7.0In TrainingMust be supervised by a senior tower or transit controller. Can control 1 control zone under supervision using manual control and the spreadsheet. Must be at least Class I operator to apply. Must pass a listening/speaking test. 
8.0Not AvailableCurrently not in training for a tower position.
